Breaking cover in Milan at the annual EICMA show is the all new Yamaha MT 10. This all new model was a surprise release from the boys at Yamaha and has definitely put a very aggressive cat amongst the pigeons.
The Yamaha MT 10 has a host of features that are guaranteed to make this bike to be a sure fire top seller for the boys in blue. It features Yamahas signature crossplane crank engine deprived straight from the Yamaha R1, this big bang motor is going to bring a level of performance and fun to naked sports bike class that has been missing for way to long.
The engineers at Yamaha have fitted the all new Yamaha MT 10 with YCC-T, this is Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle, switchable traction control with 3 modes, a slipper clutch, cruise control and a custom tune for low and mid speed torque.
The Yamaha MT 10 is suspected to have both brakes and a frame that will perform on par with the Yamaha R1 deprived big bang power plant. Stopping duties are performed by a pair of radial mounted 4 piston callipers along with a monster sized pair of 320 mm rotors with an advanced anti-lock braking system for the ultimate in control and safety.
Now the looks of the new Yamaha MT 10 are bound to divide opinions, but we for one love it! In a world of they all look the same bikes, Yamaha has smashed the mould and released a bike that yells attention.
